Where should I park?

Please enter the campus at the Continuing Education & Industrial Center parking lot. Enter the Continuing Education Center near the middle entrance and follow signage to rooms 106 and 108. The location will be clearly marked with signs.

Do I need to have a FSA ID to submit my FAFSA?

Yes. We encourage both students and parents of dependent students to create their FSA ID at least 24 hours prior to the event. You can do so by going to studentaid.gov.

If you have already created an FSA ID, please make sure you have logged in and confirmed/updated your information prior to the event.

What should I bring with me?

Although most income information will be retrieved from the IRS, students and parents will still be asked some financial questions. In some situations, students may have to complete the financial information manually if it can’t be pulled from the IRS. Therefore, it’s a good idea to have the following documents and information on hand the day of the event:

• Student's Social Security Number
• Parent's Social Security Number
• Student's Driver License Number if they have one
• Student's Alien Registration Number if they are not a US citizen
• 2025 Federal Tax Information or Tax Returns for the student and the parents if the student is still a dependent. Eligible students and parents who filed a U.S. tax return with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) now have the ability to have their tax information transferred directly into the FAFSA form with the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IRS DRT).
• Current net worth of real estate, businesses and investment farms
• Untaxed Income Information such as interest income, noneducation veteran benefits, child support received for the student and the parents if the student is still a dependent
• Financial Information such as cash, bank account balances, investment accounts, businesses and farms for the student and the parents if the student is still a dependent

What does it mean to provide Consent and Approval on the 2027-28 FAFSA form?

Both you and your contributors must provide consent and approval to have the IRS transfer your federal tax information into the FAFSA form. Your contributors must provide consent and approval even if they don’t have a Social Security number (SSN), didn’t file a tax return, or filed a tax return outside the U.S. If you or your contributors don’t provide consent and approval, you won’t be eligible for federal student aid.

What happens after I submit the FAFSA form?

Once your FAFSA form has been submitted online, you can check its status immediately and monitor its progress. If you submitted a paper application, it takes 1-2 weeks from the mailing date to process.

After your FAFSA form is submitted and processed, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to access an online copy of your FAFSA Submission Summary. The FAFSA Submission Summary has been specifically designed to highlight your eligibility for federal student aid. It will include the answers that you submitted on your FAFSA form (except for any federal tax information that was transferred directly from the IRS), your Student Aid Index (SAI), and an estimation of the amount of federal student aid that you may be eligible for.

Aid offers will come directly from any schools you’ve listed on your FAFSA form and have been accepted to.
